THREAD: While we are tweeting today that SCOTUS unanimously denied a bid by Trump to overturn Pennsylvania’s election, let's be clear. The dark money powers who used Trump to pack the judiciary and SCOTUS may be done with Trump, but they are not done with us. /1

They are not done with McConnell, who remains a useful tool to blunt Biden’s impact on the courts. The long game of those who have been working to pack the courts for decades is a single primary goal. To end the federal government’s capacity to regulate corporations. /2

1%ers like Koch are weaponizing single issue politics to achieve deregulation. That includes guns, abortion, anti maskers, QAnon, MAGA, and white nationalism. In the pursuit of deregulation, dark money politics is fomenting an extremist/authoritarian/fascist revolution. /3

The 1% doesn't care if they foster fascism in America. They see themselves as above all that. If it serves to reduce the Federal Government's power to regulation their activities, then they're glad to turn our nation into a white nationalist shit show. Trump is proof of that. /4

Electing both Ossoff and Warnock in Georgia’s Jan. special election can slow McConnell but it won’t end the larger attack on the Federal government or the 1%'s dark money funding of authoritarian, fascist, and cult belief systems in America. American fascism is accelerating. /5

What is required of us tomorrow? We can NEVER sit out another mid term, state or local election. We must donate, volunteer, and fight like hell for every vote. Millions in dark money will be spent to turn out MAGA and QAnon cultists for every single election going forward. /7

To undermine the Federal government's ability to regulate corporations, dark money billionaires have accelerated the GOP's collapse into QAnon, authoritarianism, and white nationalism, all so that the privileged 1% can pollute, pay no taxes, deny worker's rights at their whim. /8

The hellish nightmare of Trump casually allowing hundreds of thousands to die of Covid, is nothing more than the tail of the deregulation dog, wagging. The price we pay, and will pay next, so that Amazon can pay zero taxes is unfathomable. But this is where we are. Fascism. /9

I am a Democrat. I will be supporting and working for progressive Democrats, BIPOC, LGBTQI+ candidates. I will be fighting to get women into positions of power and I believe that for the time being, our hope lies with the Democratic Party. I hope you will join me. /10

But whatever we do, we must make electoral politics our laser beam focused priority. Decades of skipping midterm elections, not caring about State elections, not showing up gave fascists the opening they needed to suppress the vote, gerrymander, attack our social safety nets. /11

Trump is the warning. He has not been defeated. The powerful men and women, the millions of dark corporate money behind the white nationalist GOP have not been defeated. The terrible and heart breaking last four years are just first shots fired. /12

FYI: American fascism, white nationalism is rooted in men’s epidemic levels of disconnection, driven by our deeply isolating, dominance-based man box culture, framed as bootstrap individualism, emotional stoicism. We need a masculinity of connection to defeat authoritarianism /13

Defeating fascism is going to require a massive cultural shift, around how we view diversity, inclusion and the well documented generative power of shared leadership across difference. For this to happen, white men are going to give to give up dominance-based masculinity. /14

When domination-based masculinity plays out at the family level, it destroys marriages, the lives of children, men's health and hope. When it plays out at the political level, it results in leaders like Trump, doubling down over and over on dominance until all is destroyed /15

The good news is that men are coming to understand that man box culture, our hierarchical dominance-based culture of masculinity is deeply isolating and toxic to ourselves and to those we love. Doubling down on domination is life killing. /16

The 1% want deregulation of corporations. Packing the court gave them Citizens United, which gave them unlimited corporate money in elections. What we got is Trumpism, white nationalism, authoritarianism, QAnon cultism, fascism, the overthrow of our democratic institutions. /19
