I don’t care if they are the *best* team in college football (they’re not, IMO), but if Ohio State only plays six games total and has to have the rules changed to make that sixth game even happen, they don’t deserve a CFP spot.

You gotta play the games. If the B1G made it too hard to do that, then take it up with them. If the CFP lets them in, why would SEC/ACC play at all until selection show? They shouldn’t.

Like I’m legit angry about this for no other reason than it bucks every other conference’s motivations for playing.
Seriously, why wouldn’t Bama, Clemson, and Notre Dame “opt out” until the selection show? They’ll have played more games (against better teams) than OSU.

If I’m Clemson, for instance, I’ve got a date with Notre Dame on 12/19 for the ACC Title. A loss knocks me out of the CFP, but a win gets both of us in the game.
Why would I play? I’d just “blame it on the COVID,” cancel the game and we both get in right now. No harm, no foul.
