Both @EnglandRugby and @FranceRugby seemed to change their box-kick tactics for the #AutumnNationsCup final:
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 kicked short (median 24m, previous matches 28m) and with shorter hang time (3.88s, 3.96s)
🇫🇷 used box-kicks to eat the clock in H2

For ENG, a shorter hang time meant smaller net territory gain. Even though most kicks led to an initial contact < 1 sec (4 aerial contests against FRA), 50% of kick resulted in negative net metres or a penalty goal. And yes, 🇨🇮&🇫🇷

FRA (4min 8sec, 37 phases in 11 platforms). Interestingly, ENG 45% box-kicks were performed between the dashed 10-metre lines (group stage 24%). Was it meant to involve FRA in tactical kicking, not necessarily to gain more net metres?
