A Muslim cannot be a communist

Communism is a school of thought based on atheism and the belief that matter is the basis of all things.

Some of their main ideas and beliefs include the denial of the existence of God and the unseen in general.

A fatwa was issued by the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim world league which deemed communism to be a creed of disbelief

The Islamic Fiqh Council also went on to state that it’s impermissible to marry a woman who is Communist due to the above reason

The founder of communism, Karl Marx, described religion as being “the opium of the people”

So how can a Muslim follow an ideology whose founder was against religion?

In Bulgaria, when it was under Communist rule, the Communist regime prevented Muslims from learning Islam and banned imports of the Quran and Islamic books

One may say well a Muslim can adopt the economic program of communism rather than the foundational philosophy...

...however this is impossible

The communist economic system cannot be separated from their worldview or their outlook upon the life of the people.

We as Muslims have our religion of Islam which is a complete religion.

Islam acknowledges and understands the importance of a good economic basis for any improvement in the social life of a community, without the need of an ideology like communism

Therefore it is clear that the foundations of communism were based upon kufr, as their beliefs deny the existence of Allah and the unseen world

“Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?Or did they create the heavens and the Earth? Nay but they have no firm belief”
