In the early 1990s, I helped design a first series of Art Transport Boxes.
At the time, wooden transport cases were made for every art transport need. These cases were discarded afterwards.

There was ample of time to develop a competing transport box, but that opportunity was never taken as the focus was on maintaining job positions.
Then came the moment that transport insurance companies demanded paintings to be shipped by Turtle Art boxes only, and... 4/5

museums & galleries had no other choice than to use Turtle Art boxes, resulting in their carpenter shops closed or cut small, jobs lost.
When better ideas come to fruition, you've to decide to design something better, or loose out all together.
