Here’s a list of how you can support small businesses right now. Add more ideas and share please! #yeg

1. If you have a hair, nail, spa, massage, etc... appt booked that will now be cancelled and you can afford to; pre pay for your next appointment.
2. Do everything you can to shop as small as possible in the community that you live in. Give businesses the opportunity to gain your business while struggling. Not everyone is fully online or even partially online. Pick up the phone and let them help you in their own way
3. Buy Giftcards. All the gift cards. Give them as gifts or as an IOU to yourself to redeem in the spring. If you can, try not to redeem them between Dec-Feb, this will act as a mini stimulus package for many to get through the typical dismal months in retail and hospitality.
4. Support your local restaurants and watering holes if you can by buying whatever kits, packages, ideas they put together for the holidays. Pivots are expensive and not the typical profit margins restaurants are used to basing their expenses off of.
5. If you can’t purchase things from local businesses, you can support by writing reviews, sharing on social media and by liking and commenting on business posts.
