why the mma 2020 black swan duet could only be done by jimin and jungkook: a small thread

jimin is the only member in bts with a background in contemporary dance, so automatically he is the only member with the skillset to be lifted. jimin is an essential part of the duet, and no matter the partner, it can’t be done without him. accept it and move on.

the person lifting must be strong enough to hold jimin without faltering and skilled enough to do so without being trained in ballet. jungkook is both naturally talented and extremely strong, and he has an affinity for dance. while some of the other members *might* be strong

enough to lift jimin, they aren’t naturally skilled in dance. and hsk, while he is a dancer, i don’t think he is strong enough to lift jimin. jungkook is the only member of bts with *both* qualities, so he’s the only member suited to dance the duet with jimin.

not to mention lifting takes an immense amount of trust. you can’t just pair two people together based on their popularity or looks. aside from their skills, you have to take into consideration the trust, and we have seen that jimin and jungkook have an incredibly strong bond.

in conclusion, to say anyone else could have the black swan duet is very much an overstatement and it comes off as ungrateful. it could only be done because it was jimin and jungkook. case closed.
