Climate justice is racial justice. Fossil fuel divestment is an important component of moving away from a destructive system that harms BIPOC communities & ecosystems globally. NY State's divestment actions are thus important, esp given Biden's commitment to US climate action.

An important part of all this is to ensure that pressure is kept up by different constituents over time, at state & national levels, to ensure accountability, transparency & rigorous follow-through on all climate action commitments. Action has to be justice-oriented & equitable.
