Thread: Five Ways All New AQUAMAN made good on the unfulfilled promises of The New 52 and DC: Rebirth!
The wedding: Comicdom's first super-hero nuptials were retroactively erased by The New 52 and while teased as a big draw for Aquaman: Rebirth, it came and went without Arthur & Mera any closer to the altar than at its start. At long last & 65 issues later, DC made it official.

Aqualad, finally! 10 years had passed since Jackson Hyde made his comic book debut in Brightest Day but was then promptly removed from continuity due to Flashpoint. He resurfaced in DC Universe: Rebirth #1 but was completely absent from Dan Abnett's long, protracted AQUAMAN run.
Salty learns to swim! Its the little touches like picking up on this leftover nugget from The New 52 that demonstrated the All-New creative team's commitment to keep Arthur grounded in his humanity as opposed to being burdened by his royalty.

Unite The Seven: Despite best efforts, Geoff Johns was never able to showcase the Seven Kingdoms in comics (see @AquamanMovie instead) but thanks to Kelly Sue & co. The Brine, Fishermen, Trench, Xebellians & more peacefully arrived in Atlantis for Mera's ruse wedding to Vulko.
