You know something? I’m sick of women having to be everything to even have an opinion on something whilst men can have no experiences, no qualifications and no fuckin idea what they are talking about and they are still given a platform to talk utter bollocks with no references.
For over a decade in my work, I’ve been told I have to have so much more experience or qualification to have a view - but I see blokes who don’t have a fraction of my (or other women’s) knowledge, skill or experience talking like expert preachers to the fuckin masses.
When I was seen as ‘just a survivor’ I was ridiculed for having no titles, no degrees, no qualifications to back up anything I said.

When I got all of those things, I was accused of not having any real life experience and told I can’t have a view because I’m ‘just an academic’.
Ironically, academics didn’t want to hear me because I was a young working class woman who had real life experience and they said my experiences and views would bring the field into disrepute.

So in that environment, I was allowed to use literature but not real life.
And lots of others with real life experience didn’t wanna hear from me cos I was perceived as an out of touch academic.

So I was allowed to use my real life stuff but none of the literature cos then I was accused of being elitist and middle class lmfao
Meanwhile you got bros out here talking fuckin bullshit on no qualifications and no life experience of anything but their own inflated ego and everyone listens to them like they know the meaning of fuckin life
Women are expected to be everything to everyone at once - and if you’re not, you’re silenced.

Even when you ARE all those things they expect - you’ll still be told you can’t have a view or that you don’t understand.
The expectations of women are sky high - the bar is so low for men in the same jobs and fields.

They parrot what an intelligent woman says and get accolades whilst the intelligent woman is ignored, aggressive or positioned as problematic.
