Few people have an appreciation for the fact that religions are deeply evolved structures, and most of what they “do” to the human brain and the community are not well understood. The design they’re steeped with makes them NOT just a cult.
Cults can certainly become religions.
The SAFETY cult looks to be with us for some time — maybe a generation. By then, it may have gotten the laurels to call itself a religion.
Will it have been selected to even more firmly crush human nature? Or to harness it for good?
