The only way to ensure we have the H/C workers needed to achieve 4 hours of care/day is to make improvements to employment conditions a centrepiece of new national standards.

Imagine the signal it would send to recruit the many tens of thousands of new frontline workers needed if full-time jobs with fair pay were a condition of new national standards—good jobs with good benefits like paid sick leave and stronger pensions—for women in the care economy.
