All this talk about how numbers aren't important is annoying because personally I think they are,,, how will I make money if my work doesn't reach anyone? I'm not writing for myself either, I'm writing for seeing people go "i love this" because it makes me happy +

I make meme-y drawings because I enjoy seeing people laughing about it. And if this was only for myself, why would I post it to the internet? If I'm drawing for myself, that's inside my sketchbook where no one ever sees it

What's bad is obsessing over numbers, and I'm guilty of that too. It's unhealthy and makes one feel bad, but wishing for your creations to make numbers isn't wrong.

Creating to be seen isn't wrong.
