QUICK HR THREAD ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Firstly, READ YOUR COMPANY'S SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY!

You're entitled to use social media obvs but there are certain things which are usually in breach of policy, including making derogatory comments about colleagues, clients or the business.
As well as posting things which could bring the business into "disrepute" if people knew you worked for them. This usually includes anything racist, sexist, homophobic, threatening, etc.

That's usually why these crazy racists get fired when caught on camera.
It's actually best to read all policies in general as sometimes relevent information is in the IT policy, the disciplinary policy or the company code of conduct. It's also good to be aware so you know what's not ok in case you ever have any issues with others.
Adding "views my own" can be helpful but doesn't completely remove the risk if offensive.

Your best course of action is to follow the policy as if you are caught in breach, you could be subject to disciplinary action which could in extreme cases be dismissal.

It happens often.
This is why identifying yourself as an employee X company in your bio is sometimes discouraged unless you envisage mostly using the profile for work.

Marketing and HR teams of larger companies will usually be able to give guidance on whether that is discouraged in your business.
