The city is reviewing its charter next year. The charter defines the ground rules, powers, and relationship between the mayor, the city council, and the school board.

This is a big, big deal.

There is going to be a committee with the Mayor (who appoints 3 people), the president of the city council (who appoints 3 people), and the chair of the school committee (who appoints 2 people).
