The early days of OIR were directionless and chaotic. No plan besides one powered on wishes in Syria (T&E) and just trying to defend Baghdad in Iraq. The Mosul "Counteroffensive" originally planned by Austin's CC didn't come about until 2 years later.
If this is the understanding of Austin's legacy by the Biden team, it reflects a truly amateurish understanding of the events in the Levant over the past ten years.
