Idk what’s wrong with my husband’s last name, I just feel like I don’t wanna have it in my name HAHAHAHA.

And thank God he understands. Truth is, he doesn’t like it either 🤪🤪
My sister like, why dont you wanna add his last name? I dont know what to say, I just dont feel it fit. Marcio thinks the same, he likes his middle name better. He said, if we need to add his name on mine, it would be his middle name instead of his last name.
I don’t do any changing yet. And he’s so fine with that. Our excuse is too much paperwork, it’s a headache, which is true also.

If I should add, we wanna take his middle name. It works the same if one day we have kids. But until now, no rush to change.
So how it works in his family, they name their kids with both maternal and paternal family name.

Márcio’s middle name actually comes from his mom family name (surname).

This is the arrangement:
First name + mom surname + dad surname
This is how we name our kid if we decide to have one in the future

Let’s say my surname is Mettasari (I dont have one, so this is only example). And his is Soares. Our kid’s name will be

Amélie (1st name) Mettasari Soares
And if Amélie marries a guy, she will add his surname as her very last name. Let’s say her husband’s surname is Ferreira, her name will be

Amélie Mettasari Soares Ferreira

Ya at least that’s a lil thing I learn from him. Could be different from other cultures, ofc.
Ahya, Marcio said also that they can decide what surname they wanna give to the kid. That’s why he decides to give our kid his middle name that comes from his mom’s surname, instead of his last name that comes from his dad’s.

Jadi ga saklek harus pake nama belakang.
