I have archives from the old local Health Authority which shows they worked out which plants and herbs were found in Norfolk, and what medical use they might have after nuclear attack - when the NHS has run out of drugs, and there's no hope of resupply.
Seems you can source chamomile in Norfolk - and you might find Roman chamomile round Kings Lynn. The papers give instructions on how to prepare the plants, and what ailments they might help with.
Norfolk would have had people running round the county's scorched parks, irradiated meadows and smoking gardens to scoop up handfuls of juniper, marsh cudweed, angelica, and coltsfoot.
