SO, considering how the now-conservative-leaning SCOTUS ruled on Pennsylvania's election challenge yesterday, it would appear partisans from both sides of the political aisle need to issue some apologies. Think about it. Trump added 3 justices in his term: Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, 1/
and most recently, Barrett. Each one was met with howls of indignation from the left, as they felt, each time, that one more conservative judge on the court was going to thrust the nation back to the days of slavery, women not allowed to vote, and prohibition, all around. It 2/
didnt happen. Many on the right felt that Roe v. Wade would magically disappear, as would gay marriage, immigration [legal or not], and Trump would be named King of the World forever. None of that happened. Not even close. At the very least, leftists and the Trump-right agreed 3/
that SCOTUS was now owned, outright, by Donald Trump, or at least branded, like one of his foreign hotels. The Supreme Court of Trump did not materialize. It is not a thing. Both political sides were WRONG. Each justice has proven to only be beholden to the law, as they 4/
interpret it. Think about it: No matter who appoints them, as a lifetime appointment, once they're in, they're in. Trump cant just snatch them back, if he becomes displeased, so they're under no obligation to please him. The Trump cult that felt the court would support Trump's 5/
power grab are now as dumbfounded and slack-jawed as the leftwing howler monkeys are, who felt the court had been "stacked" against them. SCOTUS is part of the separate, but equal system of government we enjoy. Let them do their jobs and stop politicizing them. /fin/
