@theCCCuk offers a punchy view of the future.

The curve steepens and the drop between 2030 and 2035 is really significant.

Ambitious but desperately needed.
Great rainbow slide from @Mike_Thommo.

Just look at the role natural carbon storage (e.g. afforestation, peatland restoration etc) plus carbon removal plays.

The UK's rural landscape will have to transform, with conservation and climate mitigation moving in lock-step.
Spend today, save tomorrow.

@theCCCuk shows how big capital costs can reduce operational costs over the coming decades, especially surface transport fuel. Think for instance that filling up your EV costs a fraction of an ICE petrol tank.
Begs the Q of how/where taxes are levied, as we spend less on OPEX, such as lower cost of fuelling our cars if EVs.

Interested to hear more about this from CCC and of course @hmtreasury...and what this means for the spread of costs incurred through tax across society.
And there's your dinner (literally).

See how our lives and our diets (see meat consumption) will change under @theCCCuk Balanced Pathway by diff years.

Left hand side 2030 and right 2035.
And that afforestation of 50k ha per annum by 2035 is (after a quick Google) about twice the area of the city of Birmingham.

Wow. That's a lot of trees. The Lorax will be happy.
