Back in 2014, Curzon offered to show a short film I made in front of select - emphasis on select - screenings of Interstellar. My film, destined for an obscure life on streaming platforms, was getting a shot on the big screen. But Warner Bros had to approve.
The senior executive at Warner Bros was enthusiastic and very supportive, but cautioned that he had to run it past Christopher Nolan’s people.
The answer from Christopher Nolan’s people was no. My short film didn’t get it’s small release on the big screen and my film was confined to an obscure life on streaming platforms.
Funny how things come around.
