Schedule 7 of the Terrorism act is very similar to the sus Act of the 80s that allowed police to stop black men randomly. It lacked the reasonable grounds test but nonetheless had elements of “suspicion” which was really racial profiling. Officer has the right to stop anyone at ports etc to “determine” if a person has been or could be involved in potential acts of terror. It works backwards- it racially or shall we say religiously profiles someone to them determine reasonable grounds.
Where the almost the entire
English law relies on reasonable grounds/reasonableness why is this piece of legislation so unreasonable. Plainly put it is the hyper surveillance of Muslims...it’s presumed guilty until proven innocent. #Schedule7
