#lockdownfails, a thread.

Reflecting on our time in lockdown this year, LTU Library staff share lockdown pastimes they tried that didn’t work out quite right…

“I decided to learn to knit, I'm a crafty person how hard could it be? This hat took me six weeks, multiple unravelings, and it was supposed to be adult sized. Am now working on a bigger hat for next winter.”
/2
“I watched one TikTok video about tie-dying and figured it was easy. Turns out you can only dye certain fabrics and it takes some work. (Supposed to be a matching set).”

/3
“I bought a mountain bike during lockdown”
🚲🤕
/4
"I purchased an expansion for Forza Horizon 4. But the races require 'expert' level and a high score for drifting (and I just can't drift). It was a bit of a fail."
/5
I tried and failed to solve a Rubik's Cube, this is as close as I got🙁
/6
“Tried and failed again to read Orwell's 1984.

I had to read it at school and cheated on the test. My friend who didn't like maths wrote it for me and I did her equations (win-win). I tried again years later, not even lockdown kept me going beyond chapter 2.”
/7
"I bought Infinite Jest. It has sat on my bookshelf untouched."
/8
"Books I borrowed and bought VS books I actually read. Such grand panic buying/borrowing plans!"
