If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that more medical research is needed so badly, and when we all come together, life-changing things can be discovered.
Vaccines can be created, cures can be found, injuries can be healed, and people’s lives can be improved

The saddest part is that there are so many AMAZING scientists out there in Australia (and the world) that WANT to do the research. (3/n)
But without the government and the people showing their support, funding for these invaluable projects will keep declining and these wonderful advancements can’t continue being made (4/n)
We need to start thinking about our priorities and recognise how much of one medical research should be. Imagine in 50 years telling your kids, your grandkids, that we don’t know how to treat or cure any of these devastating conditions, just bc no one wanted to pay for it (5/n)
If we’re not careful, that could be a reality. Time for Australia to step up and show its support by not taking away our much needed funding. We certainly need it. (6/n)
