I would like to make a Public Service Announcement about the kudos meme:

If you are a vidder, please be aware that kudos do not work the same for vids as they do for fic. I have heard of fic writers who turn off the kudos email notification button.

As a vidder, each kudos you gather is precious &you are allowed to cherish the 4 you got here or the 12 here or the 23 over there &feel validated

Occasionally you might hit on something popular and you will get a ton of kudos (for a vid) and it will ruin you for a while (2/3)
That’s okay. We don’t know why and how the Kudos Gods strike and it is not ours to know. Hold tight to the kudos while you get them and focus on the really important thing:

Freaking out about answering comments until it has been so long it’s now just awkward as hell
