I'm enjoying my time off but what's going on with @EsportsStadium — given the amount of reporting I did in Dallas–Fort Worth's vie for power in esports — makes me wish I had a platform already. Another billionaire thinking they know better and not committing to the long haul.
I'll spill.
As I understand, today, almost all of the @EsportsStadium staff were let go.
Per my sources, the venue will now be run by @LeitzmanLuke. If I am correct, Leitzman is the grandson of Texas Rangers majority owner Ray Davis, who helped launch the venue.

. @esportsobserved is reporting that @LukeBauer15 will be named the new president of @EsportsStadium.
Bauer is a 2020 University of North Texas graduate and LinkedIn shows experience running a pressure washing company. Bauer is a friend of Leitzman's. https://esportsobserver.com/esa-new-president-on-layoffs/

In this article, Bauer told @esportsobserved that employees were furloughed, meaning they could return to the job in the future.
However, one former @EsportsStadium employee told me that the affected employees — which was most of the staff — were laid off without severance.

Also, Bauer seems to confirm, in this tweet, that @EsportsStadium will be using volunteers in place of the laid-off workers to staff out its events for the time being. https://twitter.com/LukeBauer15/status/1336821820608159744
