if we “put people to sleep” before intubating them. We frontline healthcare workers have been hollering for months about how sick these people in the Covid ICU are and you visit our floor and that is the question you ask? If you were actually interested.. 2/6
in these sick and dying people and the work we are doing, there are several other questions you should have led with. You were on our floor for maybe 10 minutes with 16 different nurses that would have been willing... 3/6
to discuss with you what we are seeing and facing daily. We coded 1 patient two times immediately after you left. I pronounced two patients and talked with devastated families shortly after you left. These are not unusual occurances anymore. Please... 4/6
do not visit anymore hospitals for photo taking until you are ready to have a sit down discussion with a nurse. We are with these people 12-13 hours a day and 3-5 days a week. These people are not just a number. They have names... 5/6
stories, memories, families. I’ve held their hands when comforting them and when they are leaving this world. I’m saddened by your visit today. I feel like you could have learned so much. 6/6
Update: Ok wow, thanks to everyone for the support. I would like to note that Governor Stitt did tour a couple other units while at the hospital and I cannot honestly say what took place there. These were my own personal views and frustrations. 1/2
Saint Francis has done a good job at supporting their employees during this time and educating/informing the community about the track we are on. And I appreciate that greatly. 2/2
