On a similar note, "having a Nazi phase is not normal" is... Literally nothing about refusing the possibility of growth and change. No part of that says, "and that's why I will never interact with former Nazis." That's your whiteness speaking.

"It's not normal to have a Nazi phase," means "and that's why you need to demonstrate considerably more than just a YouTube subscription to show that you've actually deprogrammed any and are safe for Jewish / black / etc lives." It's a statement that doesn't go without

the implicit proposition that *growth *is *possible, and that it takes way more than white culture and online left fandom has been allowing for for... quite frankly, every violently reactionary cis white man with access to the engines of fame, and all the excessively white people

and bootlickers of white culture who happen to represent any other walk of life.

Literally you don't have the depth of analysis and criticism to hold shitty white people this accountable if you don't have the premise that growth is possible (and it takes demonstration of material change and deprogramming of the way your liking marginalized ppl is violence).

Also literally we already do have former Nazis who have done the material work of making that "former" part count, and they look like the exact entire opposite of the dirtbag left and similar culture that this shitcourse is defending.

They make no bones about their experience being "normal" adolescent shittyness, they're the ones emphasizing how radicalized and dangerous they themselves were,

They actually know the first goddamn thing about how cults and deprogramming work

They sure as shit are not pitching "recruitment" by way of *actively replacing left culture and principles with explicitly Nazi ideology,* not just aesthetics, to get subscription numbers without completely wrecking the reactionaries in question

Also pretty much all of them are like, "I never would have gotten it through my stubborn head if I hadn't gotten shit for being a genocidal bigot, punching Nazis is how you deprogram them"

Again, my adolescence consisted of laughing at punk kids who danced on Reagan's fresh grave and pissed on Nixon's. Greta Thunberg's consisted of pissing off an entire global elite by suggesting that we mitigate climate change somewhat. There's ways of being a punk teen without

engaging in genocidal antisemitism or radfem transmisogynistic theory.
