Forget how you feel about @KyrieIrving and forget how you feel about @stephenasmith let's just be objective. SAS is 100% right. Getting blessed to do what you love and get paid generational wealth to do it is a blessing. So if you're contractually obligated to speak to the media,
you shouldn't have much room to complain. That being said, the entitlement that the media just deserves athletes time and words is crazy. Like yall aren't god, yall aren't authority figures, nothing. To continue, SAS could be right that kyrie just blames everything on the media
regardless if it's true or false. Idk if that is 100% true, I'd have to look through everything. But what I can say is, kyrie is 100% right in feeling as they he can't trust the media to convey his thoughts and feelings to the public properly and honestly. We've seen them twist
his words constantly. Players across the NFL and NBA have complained about the media, their hidden agendas, and broadcasting their words out of context. The fact that @KingJames had to request a full transcript of what kyrie said proves that there is a level of distrust and
disconnect between the media and their consumers/viewers. And if kyrie pulled a Marshawn or a Westbrook (other players who have been displeased with the media and their jobs), something yall loved in them, yall would've still found a way to demonize him. Tbf to SAS, he's been
consistent on all 3 cases. With all 3 players he's demanded they should speak and in lynch case he even said players shouldn't need to answer anything outside of questions pertaining to the game and the team. That being said, SAS isn't being honest when he says the media
wouldn't miss kyrie. We just seen them hold a whole slander campaign over the man while he kept to himself and did many charitable deeds. Those deeds were rarely if ever brought up and never led the convo at hand. Kyrie is vp of the president association and people really have a
problem with him having voiced concerns over the way that the players who he helps govern, would be cared for and be protected in the midst of a pandemic. Kyrie was called divisive and a distraction from social justice issues...as he brought up those issues and the people
criticizing him ignored those issues to say he was taking away from them. Kyrie didn't even say he would no longer speak to the media. He legit said to convey his message for THAT DAY and every report is saying he's in a media black out and how that's a problem. Damned if you do
Damned if you don't
