If this is the last time Carlos Santana plays for Cleveland, he will thankfully go down as beloved. Dude learned multiple different positions to help his team win. Took on LF in a World Series game to give his team a better lineup. A hard worker, and an intense competitor.
Busts his butt to learn third, passable in the outfield. Turns himself into a gold glove contender first baseman. Beyond generational plate discipline, insane base running savvy, and his joy, Carlos Santana was an unmatched teammate.
Santana the incredibly smart, wonderfully aggressive, comically bouncy baserunner is one of my favorite parts of his legacy. One of the smartest baseball players I have ever watched.
