I listen to secular music.
I drink on occasion.
I sometimes do things I know I shouldnât.
I sometimes forget to pray and/or open my Bible.
Iâm in constant battle with my mental health.
I often struggle to love myself the way I deserve to be loved.
I am still a child of God.

Donât let someone elseâs perception of how YOUR Christian walk should look like stop you from feeling like the child of God that you will always be. Keeping up appearances fools no one but yourself because God sees everything and STILL chose to love you. God will always love you.
Nobodyâs journey is perfect. Your relationship is perfect because God is in it. Thatâs all that matters. Let go of other peopleâs perceptions of you, and let God handle everything for you.
I will always be transparent about these things because I know Iâm not the only one going through some of these challenges. Iâm just aware of who I am in Christ, as we all should be. My freedom in Christ speaks for itself.
Donât let anyoneâs biblical knowledge fool you. We all have things we may or may not be proud of. This âholier-than-thouâ mindset is just a barrier that restricts you from using the true freedom you actually have in Christ. I already know Iâm saved. Why should I now pretend?
I often get messages asking for advice on how to be a better Christian or how people feel like they arenât as devout as their fellow believers. The gag is, there is no such thing as a âbetter Christianâ. If the Old Covenant isnât enough to show you that, look at your own life.
We ALL have things weâd rather not share. Things we feel like weâd get judged for. Jesus has freed you from bondage but youâre giving mere humans like yourself the handcuffs and the keys to lock you back up. What an insult to the finished works.
And just so weâre clear, Iâm not saying we should keep sinning just because weâre free. Iâm saying we shouldnât pretend we donât. Itâs not something to hide, itâs something to learn from.
Also, you donât need to be bland just because you are a Christian. You just need to know when youâre going too far and being distracted from God. The Holy Spirit is there to help you do just that. Conviction exposes distractions, not just sins.
I really hope this thread helps somebody, even if itâs just one person. God asked me to love, so thatâs what Iâm gonna do. Feel free to message me if you ever need to, my DMs are always open. I might take time, but I will try to get to all of them. God bless you all
