Cohort Based Courses (CBCs) have taken 2020 by storm.

MOOCs will stick around, but CBCs are becoming the standard for great online courses b/c of the right structure, tools, and community.

Here's a few CBC platforms that I'm most excited about going into 2021 👇
. @learnmonthly runs immersive month-long classes for creatives.

They are building a portfolio of courses taught by super star instructors like @KygoMusic, @Christinatos, and @markrober.

"Masterclass but make it engaging and sprinkle in community"
. @hyperlink_a is building community-driven online courses. Built inside and out for seriously effective learning.

Small cohorts (<10), actively facilitated, on niche topics.

Courses are more casual, more exploratory, and more peer-driven than anything else I've seen.
. @tryEnlight runs two-week cohorts for web dev in helping beginners stay accountable and learn by doing.

They've run four cohorts already and have stellar reviews. Excited for @samaysham and team to grow the platform further.
Still in stealth, but @gaganbiyani & @wes_kao are building a cohort-based courses platform for everyone.

Previously, Gagan cofounded Udemy. Wes cofounded altMBA.

Experienced founders that know the education space well with a stacked term-sheet. Pumped to see the launch.
At @TheCodexMe, we're planning to test cohort based classes next year focused on CS topics.

Our customers are always asking us for a course with accountability and community built in.
