Patch 1.14 Spectator Client Update Thread
-Free Cam Premades
-Projectile Follows
-Observer Follower
(2/9) Projectile follow is something we saw introduced in #FirstStrike This is going to be really great for observers to capture stuff like Molly lineups, Recon Bolts and shock darts that might be a little more impromptu that an observer wouldn't necessarily be able to predict
(3/9) Not all abilities are that reliable though, some can be positioned weird, too fast or too short, being able to stay on an aftershock or have the camera reposition itself for a Reyna Leer would help out a lot, All abilities are only followed when in-air and not when idle.
(4/9) Sometimes projectiles models do go invisible while trying this and some utility like following a Razes boom bot aren't available atm but would be great to add in the future, as well as some refinement based on a specific ability and how it can be showcased
(5/9) Pre-placed camera locations are awesome and is way more reliable then the randomized position we see from this same feature in CSGO.
(6/9) Cycling manually is rough having to slide through every perspective to find a specific one but selecting a player alongside it will always transition to the closest pre-made perspective. Would love to see integration for users to create custom angles and to save to a config
(7/9) The new observer follow feature has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen implemented into a spectator client, I wont go too in depth but will refer you to a tweet by @sapphiReGG that talks a lot about the major benefits of this feature https://twitter.com/sapphiReGG/status/1336390197517250560?s=20
(8/9) And last but not least last patch the analog controls for free cam broke but are back working again so we can create cinematic shots to our hearts content.
(9/9) Overall this has probably been my favourite patch to date with so many features being added to the spectator client its really awesome to see how far we've come from the flipped keybind days. Ty again to @PresyPC for helping me catch some of these shots
