Tip for writing UX research moderator’s guides: Working with stakeholders,
-Identify 1/3 of the questions as being critical and bold those
-Identify 1/3 of the questions as optional and italicize those
Now your sessions can flex with the participant’s style of answering questions
and you don’t have to worry about running out of time, missing key findings, or pressuring participants who may be deliberative, chatty, or slow to warm up.

(Dealing with long-winded participants is a topic for another time...)
I didn’t think this was noteworthy, but I just had a meeting where the other UXRs had never done something like this. Maybe I came up with it...?! Surely other researchers do something similar.
