Is the widespread acceptance and promotion (or at least condonation) of lies among conservatives a strategy to disorient and revise history (see: election fraud) or a sign of mass hysteria? Or...both?
For example, I saw a defense of Trump's plans to skip the inauguration because "the Dumocrats didn't attend Trump's." WITH OTHER PEOPLE AGREEING. As if our collective memory of recent history is inaccurate...
President Obama did the responsible, patriotic thing and aided his successor, allowing for a smooth transition of power. By comparison, Trump is not only an indignant baby, he's acting like a traitor to the United States and its citizens.
That so many Republicans are taking this sitting down is incredibly worrisome for those hoping for reconciliation/healing. Trump might go away (at least, one can hope), but Trumpism isn't going anywhere.
