Something I'm frustrated about in the conversation about work and caregiving in this ridiculous moment... There is a lot of talk about "managing disruptions".
You guys. Those disruptions *are my children*. Who are experiencing a life altering pandemic.

Like, I'm so sorry to spoil everyone's visioning but honestly, I made a decision many months ago that I drop most anything if my kids need something - even if it is a little thing. Sure, there are boundaries. Sure, sometimes I shoo them out.
But their feeling loved, and valued, and seen during this totally outrageous time is more important than anything that adds to my CV this year.
Anyway. Sometimes the act of revolution is putting down your work, hugging your kids, and playing scrabble. Live your truth, we're gonna get there.

although maybe we need t-shirts for them that say "THIS DISRUPTION CAN NOT BE MANAGED"
