Judge Sullivan finds there is "substantial doubt" that the DOJ has been truthful about its reasons for seeking dismissal of the charge against Flynn.
Sullivan is stating the obvious, and with circumspect language, but still remarkable to read a judicial opinion that concludes that, from available evidence, it appears the president interceded with the DOJ to assist his crony in escaping criminal charges.
Under the constitution, when a president wants to stop his crony from being prosecuted for crimes committed on the president's behalf, the proper procedure is for the president to pardon the crony, not corrupt the DOJ to carry out his whims while disguising it as rule of law.
