I did a bit of googling. Here's a thread of some funs ones I found in the investment world 📊

(note, whilst entirely accurate, this thread is not intended to be serious 😉)
@hosseeb of @dragonfly_cap was a professional poker player for 5 years between 2006 and 2011, and built "a bankroll from $50 at age of 16 to over $250,000 by age of 17" later becoming one of the 10 best online players.
After graduating from Stanford, @cburniske spent 6 months as a fishmonger at Whole Foods immediately before being a Blockchain Products Lead at ARK Investment Management (and then to @placeholdervc)
@jessewldn of @variantfund was a music producer and talent scout from 2006 to 2017, before having a startup bought by Spotify.
As his podcast skills attest to, @jamie247 of @OVioHQ worked in the film industry until 2002.
Julien Bouteloup @bneiluj of @StakeCapital was lead developer at fashion site NET-A-PORTER between 2015 and 2017.
The @hiFramework guys ( @im_manderson and @pythianism) worked for Dropbox/Snap and Netflix respectively
In 2011 till 2015, @lalleclausen of @1kxnetwork ran an app called FOUNDD to find movies with friends (quote: "tumblr + IMDB")
@AriannaSimpson of @a16z did Marketing at Facebook, as well as being Head of Boutique Operations at a fashion startup.
@KyleSamani of @multicoincap ran a startup called Pristine in 2013-2015 to build software for surgeons for Google Glass.
