Feeling meditative.
US-based Church members have all lost spiritual privileges together as a people this year. No more community worship; no more temple worship; many of us are missing family time too.
Is it an accident that these privileges have been taken away?
Or is it a consequence of our own actions? Is it because of something we've done, or are doing? The Book of Mormon always says that people bring their own curses upon themselves. I kind of doubt that that's stopped being the case since then.
Is it because we've fallen victim to pride, division, misinformation, putting politics above religion, or all of the above? What will each of us, and all of us as a people, need to repent of before we are given our temple and church community privileges back?
Personally, I see that I've been prideful and I've put political divisions above the commandment to love my neighbor (even when my neighbor is an anti-masker). I've been divisive on purpose among the people I know. I've been guilty of these things and I need to be better.
I'm no prophet so take this all with a grain of salt, it's just what's been on my mind ☺️
Shout-out to @hmdoppelganger 's brother for kick starting this insight. I want to put the credit where the credit is due haha
