A lot of us (Black ppl) have been on this app for a decade+. We’ve shared mad jokes, flown to fuck each other, driven to fight each other, and had countless diaspora wars. I’ll just chalk up the first decade on this app to creating some familiarity.

There is no reason that, in this next decade, we can’t make substantial headway in connecting with each other in a more meaningful way. This app has SO much potential and it’s disappointing that we only use it for trivial shit.

Liberalism will not save us. We are going to have to do it ourselves. I’m all for jokes and having fun. But I also have a purpose. A mission. And it really should be a shared mission. To make the lives of everyone who looks like you a little more comfortable.
