Think about the intellectual network effects @collision and @patrickc have by being brothers who run a company together and (at least at some point, I think?) live together. It makes Stripe’s unbelievable journey seem (slightly) more believable.
Imagine the smartest person you know, who you share a common interest with. Think of the best conversations you have with that person where new ideas are generated and so much ground is covered.
Now imagine being with that person almost 24/7, trusting them completely, never worrying about awkward equity or salary or job title conversations. And throw in the occasional " @paulg said this today”.
Their productivity per conversation must just continue to scale. Is there a comparable relationship? Perhaps the Koch brothers?
