Also, my understanding is that no one else can manufacture MRNA vaccines because the process is novel and rather tricky, which is why AstraZeneca is licensing their more traditional vaccine, and the others aren't. But that's almost beside the point.

And *furthermore*, given that these vaccines require storage in significantly sub-zero temperatures, they're not going to be widely deployed in the developing world anyway, so the whole "save the poor" angle makes no sense.
