2. I said the other day that I would check out the Zoom call that The Great Reset Ireland team did. I’ve just about recovered. It was like pulling or should I say death by a thousand cuts. I may have put the cart before the horse and need to give some more info first.

3. It is IAPI who have been driving this behind the scenes. They are the Institute Of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland. All of Ireland’s leading advertising agencies are registered with them and IAPI act as the central cog for sending out information about events etc

4. To date the first mention of The Great Reset took place on their blog on July 6th and the most recent one on November 3rd. The wheels have been in motion for a while.
July 6th - Thinkhouse lead The Great Reset
July 24th - Thinkhouse leads industry into Great Reset

5. August 24th - Most Important brief the Industry will work on
September 14th - Great Reset Ireland
November 3rd - Invitation to the Great reset Ireland

6. June 3rd is the date that The Great Reset was announced by KS and the World Economic Forum. All the blog posts on IAPI are to do with global emissions, climate change and sustainability which are very much the same buzzwords used by the WEF.

7. IAPI stated on July 24th (6 weeks after KS made his announcement) that they hope to recruit more Irish agencies to take action on the climate crisis. They had a “Great Reset Gathering” at the end of July which was co-hosted by UK company Purpose Disruptors.

8. A 46 page white paper was also written which was sent to all the agencies to “help deepen people’s understanding and sets out the need for people in the industry to ‘reset ourselves’, ‘reset out work’ and ‘reset our impact’ …https://244200-752565-raikfcquaxqncofqfm.stackpathdns.com/files/documents/GreatResetWhitepaperIreland.pdf

9. The brief asked that "the industry creates something to celebrate accidental climate heroes and encourage them to make it a badge of honour". I'm assuming all of the agencies were to read the white paper before they could submit any work for the upcoming ad campaign in 2021

10. The white paper itself was co written by ThinkHouse (WEF really). Although it doesn't mention WEF, its fingerprints are all over it. It's pretty hardcore. In the opening paragraph "Our industry has been complicit in environmental destruction. All of us have been complicit"

11. They talk about a small "window of opportunity" to shape the future we want for our industry and society. We need them to grab this opportunity to help shape a society that puts mankind and our planet’s needs first and join The Great Reset. Sound familiar

12. Davos gets a mention: "Davos 2021 is to be held under the theme of The Great Reset “to improve the state of the world” in the context of human dignity, social justice and societal progress"

13. It also states "Remember: there is no “back to normal” – this experience doesn’t come to an end, it continues – we progress"
Universal Basic Income, Sustainability, Diversity, Inclusivity & Black Lives Matter all get a mention.

14. The white paper also talks about Reset how we travel:
Reset what we buy, Reset what we eat: promote a largely plant- based, healthy diet, Reset how we use energy:
Reset our connection to nature:
All of these are central to WEF & The Great Reset

15. So that's enough of the white paper. It is everything the WEF stands for. I'll have Part 3 out in the next day or two and promise that I'll get to the Zoom call where 150 Irish marketers turned up to discuss The Great Reset

16. Bonus post. There has been a lot of discussion in this about the WEF and how they plan on managing food resources. A brilliant guy who was on the ball 18 months ago about this is @fleroy1974 Have a look at some of his old Really good stuff
