Let's deal with this right now.

I and many others voted for a SM, CU and 'Norway' Brexit.

In fact, we worked and voted for various forms of soft Brexit when Boris Johnson and the ERG opposed *all* forms of Brexit at the time.

They opposed soft Brexit *and* May's hard Brexit. https://twitter.com/BBCSimonJack/status/1336055796912754692
From the moment of the 2016 referendum there was a clear majority in the Commons and country for a soft Brexit.

But Theresa May prioritised Tory unity above the British economy. She whipped against a soft-Brexit, then said 'but there's no majority for an alternative'.
The 'Chequers Deal' changed everything. It pleased no one. That was the moment Brexit was defined for the first time...and everyone hated what they saw.

A better deal in some ways than Johnson's, but still the worst deal in parliamentary history, defeated by a majority of 232.
From that moment the only way out was a return to British voters.

I still believe a confirmatory referendum would have been better for the country, economy and Britain's global reputation, than an election...but that's for history now.
Facts are clear: 'Remainers' in parliament bear less blame for where we are than others. We voted *for* more forms of, and a less-damaging, Brexit than anyone else!

This mess is on Brexiteers: their myopia, their ideology, their sheer incompetence.

IT'S ON THEM!
