This means _existing_ EAD, I-94, and I-797 docs remain valid to prove to your employer, DMV, etc. that your TPS status remains valid. You don't need to get new docs, don't need to pay more fees. You are still in status, same as before. 2/

Although this is good news, it may not last. The Ninth Circuit recently ruled 2-1 to terminate the Ramos injunction. We moved for rehearing/rehearing en banc last week to reverse that ruling. If the full court rejects that request, the injunction will probly dissolve in days. 3/

If that happens, DHS could "claw back" the TPS extnsn to just 120 days from that date for Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Sudan. El Salvador would get 365 days. Haiti would get 120 days from whenever the mandate issues in the Saget (CA2) case, that protects just Haitian TPS. 4/

I know it's complicated. Bottom line: the fates of 400k people and their families - including thsnds of school-age kids whose parents hold TPS - hang in the balance. Thx to @TPS_Alliance @_cristaramos @NDLON @adhikaar @Carecen_LA & many others advocating for #tpsjustice. 5/

One other impt point: the lawsuits are about _extending_ TPS for people who have had it for years. Given recent hurricanes, the pandemic, etc., strong args could be made for (re)designating these countries and others for TPS. That would protect thsnds of more recent arrivals. 6/
