Modern medicine is not about chemicals vs plants;Anything that has evidence, is systematic & refined becomes part;ideas of anorectal surgery from AYU;plant derived meds etc; On the contrary, AYU is about bhutas, koshas, doshas; Which doshas does anesthesia/antibiotics correct?

The primary problem with the whole ayurvedic surgery controversy is conceptual. How can anesthesia & antibiotics be allowed if it considered harmful or inappropriate or ineffective? Also, are ayurvedic practitioners knowledgeable about anesthesia & antibiotics?

The other conceptual problem is about the idea that a large workforce can be utilized. By that logic, in all professions, half baked professionals can be created by cutting corners and redesignating people, without really upgrading skills and knowledge.

Why not allocate more GDP for health? What about MBBS and BDS students? Why do they need to study? What would motivate them? It is a lot like lateral entry into IAS senior cadre because I think I am good at administration based on my own ideas & evaluation.
