Breakdancing is now an Olympic sport. In light of this farcical move, here's my definitive list on what should be an Olympic sport, and what shouldn't...

Archery: Olympic sport.

Artistic Swimming: I don't get it, but Olympic sport.

Athletics: The original Olympic sport.

Badminton: An Olympic sport.

Baseball/Softball: Not an Olympic sport, and arguably just a dumb form of cricket.

Basketball: Great sport, but not an Olympic sport.

Beach Volleyball: An Olympic sport.

Boxing: One of the purest Olympic sports.

Breakdancing: Not an Olympic sport. Not a sport. Possibly not even dancing. An activity, I suppose.

Canoe Slalom/Canoe Sprint: Both Olympic sports.

Cycling - BMX: Not an Olympic sport...
Cycling - Mountain Biking: An Olympic Sport.
Cycling - Road: Not an Olympic sport...
Cycling - Track: A truly wonderful and great Olympic sport.

Diving: Again, I don't get it, but it's an Olympic sport.

Equestrian: It pains me to say this, because I don't trust horses and their beady eyes and their bloody hooves and stuff, but it's an Olympic sport.

Fencing: A very pure Olympic sport.

Football: Never ever an Olympic sport. A shambles that field football is in the Olympics. However...
Beach Soccer: SHOULD BE AN OLYMPIC SPORT.

Golf: As above, this should be nowhere near the Olympics. It's not an Olympic sport.

Gymnastics: An Olympic sport.

Handball: I'm on the fence here. I'm gonna say it is an Olympic sport, because I think this is probably the peak of handball right here. But I could be wrong. The only time I might be wrong on this list.

Hockey: An Olympic sport. Doesn't have the money and profile of the other team sports, and deserves to be there.

Judo: An Olympic sport.

Karate: An Olympic sport.

Marathon Swimming: An Olympic sport.

Side note: there are a lot of sports in the Olympics, huh?

Modern Pentathlon: In the hunt to be the best of the Olympic sports.

Rowing: An Olympic sport.

Rugby Sevens: Pains me, but it's not an Olympic sport. It's my favourite form of the game, but...

Sailing: An Olympic sport [for rich people].

Shooting: An Olympic sport.

Skateboarding: An X Games sport, not an Olympic one.

Sport Climbing: A nice new addition to the Olympic sport family.

Surfing: Again, I'm happy with this one. An Olympic sport.

Swimming: Athletics, Fencing, Swimming, they should all be protected and Olympic sports forever.

Table Tennis: An Olympic sport.
Tennis: Definitely not an Olympic sport.

Taekwondo: An Olympic sport.

Trampoline: A child's activity, and an Olympic sport.

Triathlon: An Olympic sport for people who love punishment.

Volleyball: Squeezes into the Olympic sport category, but only just.

Water Polo: An Olympic sport.

Weightlifting: Another great Olympic sport.

Wrestling: To finish, another Olympic sport. The real kind, not the Vince McMahon kind.
