Would like to see more critical thought around who is thriving in remote school and work....and why.
I get it-some kids and adults aren’t doing better. But some are. And the fact won’t get the coverage it should. Because it would mean admitting the status quo leaves a lot of people out.
When the pandemic is over the kids and adults who do better remotely will go back to quietly suffering
I thrive remotely. Of course total isolation of pandemic sucks. But would take this vs. an open plan workspace every day
Me: I want to talk about who is doing better since we are usually marginalized
Some: yes please
Others: no I want to talk about who is doing worse.
Sigh.
