They better include the part where he got in a gang war with the other gas station in his town.
Or the time he was a lawyer and was disbarred after getting into a fistfight. In court. With his client. https://twitter.com/IGN/status/1336105981097496577
Also the part where he spent his years as a mascot to the company he sold by occasionally showing up at the KFCs and screaming at them because the gravy was terrible
Or the time his wife opened a restaurant and KFC sued him over it because she used his recipe
And the time he cursed a Japanese baseball team from beyond the grave
He also was a Colonel at least twice. He got his first Kentucky Colonel title in the 30s (shortly after that gas station gunfight, actually) and then another one in 1950, because he was friends with the governor of Kentucky.
And yeah, the "Colonel" in his name is not a rank... It's a title.
Kentucky can bestow it on people, making them Kentucky Colonels.
He was in the US army, though. He forged papers so he could join at 16, and spent time in Cuba running wagons.
I've not been able to find out what rank he had, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't colonel.
Anyway if you want to know the story of the cursing, I wrote about it before. https://twitter.com/Foone/status/968734680647335936?s=19
