At some point you really do have to admit when you talk about coexistence/cultural autonomy within Az. territorial integrity you are really demanding 150,000 take a chance with their lives to see if they will or won’t end up in a gruesome Telegram video.
You can’t keep claiming you’re for “peace” if that’s the ultimate outcome of the solution you’re advocating for. That’s not peace. That’s sending Armenians in NK to their destruction.The result will be ethnic cleansing, either through brutality or because Am. leave to escape it.
I am not suggesting that most Az. are hateful, but will they stand up against their gov.? Will they protest in the streets to defend Armenian lives the same way they did to demand war to reclaim Karabakh? The same way they bravely defended him on here throughout a 6 week war?
Will Aliyev and his military ever convince ANY Armenian that their lives are equally valuable? That their deaths and torture are not just collateral damage in a just war for justice and retribution? Are we even a little on the path in the right direction?
Or will Armenians in NK be forever forced to pay for the crimes of the previous wars? Will it always be “But Khojaly” “But Ganja” to answer any complaints? Vague promises of peace to silence detractors and move along?

Push comes to shove, the vast majority of even the most liberal voices fall into line, deflect, justify the unjustifiable. You are willing to live in a society that hates Armenians and doesn’t recognize their pain. Shockingly, Armenians aren’t. That’s not a recipe for peace.
Hold your insane government accountable for literally anything or gtfo about “peaceful coexistence”
None of this is normal. Stop pretending it is. Stop pretending that your cute stories of your rainbow coalition friends in Estonia or whatever the fuck has any meaning or relevance when taking about state sanctioned hatred and violence.
I don’t want to minimize negative attitudes towards Az. in Arm. But it’s not us demanding Az. ppl submit to Arm. authority and rule, That Arm. soldiers and police hopped up on 30 years of hatred patrol Az. towns. So stop screaming “both sides” to make yourself feel better.
I can fucking guarantee you that like 75% of the “good ones” Armenians are RTing now who are condemning the beheading video have insane, hateful, dismissive shit in their timelines that they voluntarily tweeted to their followers in the last couple of months.
But it’s too “nationalist” of me to point out their hypocrisy so we just have to blindly play along with this game until the Russians sell us out and the NK Armenians are left for slaughter.
You waited for your revenge for 30 years and now you have it. Enjoy it and don’t even bother with a second of self-reflection before you start deflecting and whatabout-ing. There’s no need. No one will ever be held accountable other than being forced to read some angry tweets.
But no worries, I’m fucking ecstatic about finally having the opportunity to trade with countries full of people that sorta hate us. What’s a few headless corpses on the way to improved economic relationships? We should really be thanking Aliyev. Look on the bright side, baby!
